Job Summary

We are seeking a highly motivated and detail-oriented Morning Stock Associate to join our team at Ross Stores. As a Morning Stock Associate, you will play a critical role in ensuring our customers have a positive shopping experience by maintaining a well-organized and visually appealing store environment.

Key Responsibilities
  • Ensure a safe and secure shopping environment for customers and associates by maintaining a high level of awareness on the sales floor and reporting any unsafe conditions or practices to Store Leadership.
  • Treat all customers and associates with respect and courtesy, and provide prompt and efficient responses to customer inquiries.
  • Assist customers with merchandise and answer questions in a polite and knowledgeable manner, and represent the Ross brand at all times.
  • Perform cleaning tasks such as sweeping, mopping, dusting, and replenishing restroom supplies to maintain a clean and organized store environment.
  • Expedite newly received merchandise receipts to the sales floor with a sense of urgency and maintain merchandise and brand name familiarity within departments to assist customers.
  • Understand and follow all company best practice standards, including the Loss Prevention Awareness program and merchandise protection standards.
  • Follow all policies and procedures concerning cash, check, charge card, and refund transactions, and maintain a high level of awareness and accuracy when handling bankable tenders.
Requirements
  • Ability to use all store equipment, including PDTs, registers, and PC as required.
  • Ability to spend up to 100% of working time standing, walking, and moving around the store.
  • Ability to regularly bend at the waist, squat, kneel, climb, carry, reach, and stoop.
  • Ability to occasionally push, pull, and lift more than 25 pounds.
