Position Overview

The Asset Protection and Customer Engagement Specialist plays a crucial role in supporting the Store Team and the Risk and Loss Prevention Departments. This position is dedicated to upholding the company’s standards for customer service while fostering a welcoming atmosphere for all employees, customers, and vendors. The specialist will serve as a visible security presence at the front end of our stores, deterring theft and ensuring a safe shopping environment.

Key Responsibilities

  • Customer Interaction: Greet and assist customers, vendors, and team members as they enter and exit the store.
  • Training Support: Collaborate with the Lead Cashier to provide customer service training for cashier teams.
  • Theft Prevention: Monitor for suspicious activities and document any incidents accurately without engaging directly.
  • Emergency Response: Be prepared to respond to Code Adam situations and assist in emergency evacuations.
  • EAS Management: Address EAS alarms promptly, maintain logs, and ensure the proper functioning of EAS equipment.
  • Safety Awareness: Identify and rectify safety hazards at store entrances to ensure a safe environment for all.
  • Reporting: Communicate incidents of theft or injury to the appropriate personnel in a timely manner.

Qualifications

The ideal candidate will possess strong communication skills, attention to detail, and a commitment to maintaining a safe and welcoming environment. A basic understanding of retail operations and customer service policies is essential. Physical ability to perform job duties, including standing for extended periods and lifting items as needed, is required.
