Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Investigator IV to join our team at Hawaii County, HI. As an Investigator IV, you will be responsible for conducting thorough investigations of felony and misdemeanor cases, gathering evidence and facts, and preparing reports.

Key Responsibilities
  • Conduct complete investigations of felony and misdemeanor cases, including gathering evidence and facts.
  • Prepare reports and present findings to the Prosecuting Attorney and other stakeholders.
  • Assist in the preparation of cases for trial, including gathering and analyzing evidence and interviewing witnesses.
  • Collaborate with other law enforcement agencies and stakeholders to share information and best practices.
  • Perform other related duties as required.
Requirements
  • Bachelor's degree in a related field, such as social work, sociology, psychology, or administration of justice.
  • At least two years of experience in criminal investigation, including experience in investigating felony and misdemeanor cases.
  • Valid State of Hawai'i driver's license (Class 3) or any other valid comparable driver's license.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
