Responsibilities
  • Welcome patients into the treatment area and create a comfortable and welcoming environment
  • Discuss dental care plans with patients and address any questions or concerns they may have
  • Prepare and sterilize equipment for exams and procedures
  • Accurately record patient medical histories
  • Perform preliminary exams and collect oral health histories
  • Evaluate patients for signs of gum disease, cavities, and infection
  • Remove plaque and apply fluoride treatments
  • Teach patients good oral hygiene techniques
  • Take x-rays as needed
  • Adhere to all health and safety regulations and office policies
Qualifications
  • Associate's Degree from a Commission on Dental Accreditation certified school, Bachelor's or Master's degree preferred
  • Current Dental Hygienist licensure
  • At least 1-2 years of experience in dental hygiene
  • Strong understanding of HIPAA regulations and dentistry safety guidelines
  • Excellent communication and customer service skills
