About the Position

We are seeking a highly skilled Pediatric Nurse to join our team at Children's Hospital of Richmond at VCU Brook Road Pavilion.

Job Summary

This is a 13-week assignment opportunity for a dedicated and compassionate Pediatric RN to work in our Transitional Care Unit, providing high-quality care to children with ongoing health conditions. The ideal candidate will have a minimum of 2 years of pediatric experience and possess tracheostomy/ventilator expertise.

Responsibilities
  • Provide direct patient care to children in the Transitional Care Unit
  • Develop and implement individualized care plans to meet the unique needs of each patient
  • Collaborate with the interdisciplinary team to ensure seamless care transitions and optimal patient outcomes
  • Maintain accurate and timely documentation of patient information
Requirements
  • VA or Compact license required
  • BLS and PALS certifications necessary
  • Minimum 2 years of pediatric experience, with tracheostomy/ventilator expertise required
Work Schedule

This position offers a 3x12 hour night shift schedule, from 7pm to 7am, with approximately six weekend shifts per six-week period. Managers will conduct interviews for this role.

Compensation and Benefits

The estimated salary range for this position is $$80,000 - $110,000 annually, based on location and experience. Additional benefits may include comprehensive health insurance, retirement savings plan, paid time off, and professional development opportunities.
