About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled and detail-oriented Escrow Officer to join our team at First American Financial Company. As an Escrow Officer, you will play a critical role in ensuring the smooth execution of real estate transactions by handling escrow accounts, managing funds, and processing documents for closings.

Key Responsibilities
  • Complete real estate escrow transactions by determining requirements and ensuring compliance with company policies and procedures.
  • Act as a neutral liaison between file parties, monitoring and mitigating risk to the company.
  • Prepare regular reports on the status of the escrow account and provide these reports to the parties involved in the transaction.
  • Examine property titles, mortgages, and trust deed documents to ensure accuracy and completeness.
  • Prepare legal documents for the closure of the sale, including final closing statements and title documents.
Requirements
  • 2-4 years of escrow-related experience, preferably as an escrow assistant.
  • Openness to new technology and proprietary programs, with the ability to adapt to new workflow.
  • Passion for helping customers while maintaining a professional and positive attitude.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to work with both internal teams and external customers.
  • Problem-solving skills, with strong organizational and detail-oriented abilities.
  • Valid licensing/certification as required by applicable state.
  • High school diploma or equivalent.
