About the Role

We are seeking a highly motivated and detail-oriented Facilities Maintenance Technician to join our team at Cooper-Booth Wholesale CO. As a key member of our facilities team, you will be responsible for maintaining the cleanliness and organization of our distribution center.

Key Responsibilities
  • Work closely with the housekeeping team to ensure high standards of cleanliness and hygiene throughout the facility
  • Clean warehouse floors, gather and empty trash, and perform heavy cleaning duties
  • Operate various cleaning equipment, including floor scrubbing machinery and power washers
  • Perform routine maintenance activities, including notifying management of needed repairs
  • Drive company vehicles, such as Reach trucks and Scissor lifts, to perform work
  • Follow safety procedures and protocols for the use of chemical cleaners and power equipment
  • Move heavy furniture, equipment, and supplies, either manually or using hand trucks
  • Set up and stage critical supplies for use by the operations team
  • Collect and process damaged and lost product from the facility
  • Notify managers of the need for major repairs or additions to building operating systems
  • Remove snow from sidewalks, driveways, and parking areas, using snowplows, snow blowers, and snow shovels
  • Requisition supplies and equipment needed for cleaning and maintenance duties
  • Set up, arrange, and remove decorations, tables, chairs, ladders, and scaffolding for events
  • Clean and dry delivery totes using totes washers and power washers
  • Inspect and clean Cooler boxes
  • Assist returning CBW drivers in the check-in process
  • Perform other duties as assigned by Manager
Requirements
  • High School degree, diploma, or GED equivalent qualification from a certified college
  • Ability to work independently and execute good work habits, including safety procedures
  • Excellent attendance and safety record
  • Ability to read and interpret documents, such as operating and safety instructions
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills
  • General knowledge of hand tools
