We are seeking a skilled Cardiac Monitor Tech to join our team at Trinity Health. As a Cardiac Monitor Tech, you will be responsible for providing surveillance of patient cardiac rhythm status and notifying registered nurses of any changes in the basic electrocardiographic pattern.
Key Responsibilities- Monitor multiple patients' continuous ECG, including measurement of PR interval, QRS duration, QT interval, heart rate, and rhythm.
- Correctly identify clinically significant arrhythmias and document accordingly.
- Ensure proper placement, attachment, and reattachment of leads and document patient location and time off leads as needed.
- Report any change in ectopy in a timely manner.
- Obtain relevant patient background information and accurately document.
- Post routine rhythm strip per department standards.
- Identify unusual patient condition or behavior and notify registered nurses.
- Check inventory of supplies to ensure necessary stock is available.
- Identify equipment maintenance problems and report as needed.
- High School Diploma
- None required, but 1-2 years of previous job-related experience is preferred.
