Job Title: Locum Tenens Nurse Practitioner

Weatherby Healthcare is seeking a skilled Nurse Practitioner to fill a locum tenens position in Medical Oncology at a reputable hospital in Tacoma, Washington.

Job Summary:

We are looking for a dedicated and experienced Nurse Practitioner to provide high-quality patient care in an inpatient and outpatient setting. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in Oncology and be able to work effectively in a fast-paced environment.

Responsibilities:
  • Provide comprehensive patient care, including assessment, diagnosis, and treatment planning
  • Collaborate with the healthcare team to ensure seamless patient care
  • Develop and implement individualized care plans to meet the unique needs of each patient
  • Conduct thorough physical exams and order diagnostic tests as needed
  • Prescribe medications and treatments as authorized by state law
  • Stay up-to-date with the latest medical research and best practices in Oncology
Requirements:
  • Active state license as a Nurse Practitioner
  • Board certification in Oncology
  • Minimum of 2 years of experience in Oncology
  • Ability to work weekdays, days, call, and weekend call
  • Basic Life Support (BLS) certification
  • Up to 12 patients per day
  • Inpatient and outpatient hospital coverage
