Diagnostic Radiologic Technologist PRN

University of Maryland Medical System is seeking a skilled Diagnostic Radiologic Technologist PRN to join our team at University of Maryland Medical Center - Midtown Campus.

Job Summary:

Under indirect supervision, the Diagnostic Radiologic Technologist PRN will perform quality diagnostic radiographic procedures utilizing the concepts and principles of radiation protection/safety. The ideal candidate will have a strong understanding of radiographic principles and be able to operate sophisticated radiographic, fluoroscopic, and portable imaging equipment according to protocol and procedure.

Responsibilities:

  • Perform a variety of diagnostic radiographic procedures to ensure the quality and continuity of patient care.
  • Identify each patient and review each patient's requisition for consistency of examination ordered with clinical diagnosis and all demographic information.
  • Record pertinent data in PACS at all times.
  • Assess patient condition, ensure patient safety through proper radiation safety practices and proper positioning devices.
  • Review each examination for technical accuracy, present completed examination to a radiologist, and communicate pertinent data to persons responsible for the care of the patient following the procedure.
  • Process all patients through the system immediately upon completion of the exam to ensure proper documentation and billing information.

Requirements:

  • Graduate of an AMA-approved Radiologic Technology School.
  • Registered by the ARRT and licensed by the state of Maryland.
  • Up to one (1) year experience following graduation from an approved school.

Work Schedule:

Monday-Sunday nights as needed, 10:30pm-7:00am.
