Job Summary:Bell Properties, Inc. is seeking a dedicated and experienced Compliance Specialist to ensure our operations comply with all relevant laws, regulations, and company policies. The ideal candidate will have strong analytical skills, attention to detail, and the ability to collaborate effectively with internal and external stakeholders.
Key Responsibilities:- Develop, implement, and oversee compliance programs and initiatives to ensure adherence to regulatory requirements and company policies.
- Conduct regular audits and assessments to identify potential compliance issues and develop corrective action plans as needed.
- Stay updated on changes in laws and regulations affecting property management and ensure timely compliance.
- Provide guidance and training to staff on compliance matters, promoting a culture of compliance and ethical conduct.
- Collaborate with various departments including leasing, maintenance, accounting, and legal to integrate compliance requirements into daily operations.
- Serve as the primary point of contact for compliance-related inquiries and issues, both internally and externally.
- Prepare and submit regulatory reports and filings accurately and on time.
- Monitor and analyze compliance metrics and trends to identify areas for improvement and recommend solutions.
- Conduct investigations of compliance concerns and violations and recommend disciplinary action or process improvements as necessary.
- Maintain documentation and records related to compliance activities and initiatives.
Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Real Estate Management, or a related field preferred, or equivalent combination of education and experience.
CPM or similar certification preferred.
Minimum of 5 years of experience in compliance, regulatory affairs, or related field, preferably in property management.
Strong knowledge of Fair Housing laws, LEP guidelines, and other relevant regulations.
Proven ability to interpret and apply complex regulations and requirements.
Excellent analytical skills with the ability to interpret data and trends.
Strong organizational skills with attention to detail.
Effective communication skills, both written and verbal, with the ability to interact professionally with stakeholders at all levels.
Proficiency in property management software and tools; experience with Yardi or similar platforms preferred.
Valid driver's license and ability to travel to assigned properties within the designated area as needed.
