Job Duties and Responsibilities:
  1. Assemble, install, test, and maintain electrical or electronic lighting components.
  2. Install and mount lighting controls, devices, sensors, and components.
  3. Operate aerial lifts and bucket trucks safely.
  4. Test lighting systems and continuity of circuits in fixtures, using testing devices.
  5. Inspect installation sites and study work orders, building plans, and installation manuals to determine materials requirements and installation procedures.
  6. Diagnose malfunctioning lighting systems and components, using test equipment and hand tools, to locate the cause of a breakdown and correct the problem.
  7. Read contract drawings.
  8. Troubleshoot EMS systems, smart breakers, and relays.
Qualifications and Skills:
  1. High School Diploma or GED with at least 4 years of related experience.
  2. Reliable transportation.
  3. Must pass a background check and drug test.
  4. Must be committed to excellence and generate high-quality work.
  5. Must consistently report to work on time, work well with other employees to accomplish a common goal, and maintain a safe work environment.
Optional but Preferred:
  1. OHSAS 10 certification.
  2. Any other relevant certifications, such as lift/aerial training.
Abilities:
  1. Lift at least 100 pounds at one time and 60 pounds for an extended period.
  2. Relocate a 12-foot stepladder without assistance.
  3. Work at various heights up to 60 feet and climb and maintain balance on scaffolds, aerial lifts, catwalks, and all types of ladders.
  4. Walk, climb, lift, squat, crawl, kneel, push, pull, and reach overhead on a routine and repetitive basis.
  5. Possess good vision (may be corrected), the ability to see in color, and the ability to hear and communicate in English.
  6. Use a standard ladder without exceeding the weight limit while carrying tools.
  7. Recognize when something is wrong or is likely to go wrong.
  8. Apply general rules to specific problems to produce answers that make sense.
  9. Combine pieces of information to form general rules or conclusions.
  10. See details at close range.
  11. Listen to and understand information and ideas presented through spoken words and sentences.
