We are seeking a highly skilled Neonatologist to join our team at NYC Health + Hospitals/Harlem, a Level III Neonatal ICU with 15 beds. Our hospital provides comprehensive care to preemies 22 weeks and onwards, with a range of subspecialty services including Pediatrics surgery, cardiology, ophthalmology, genetics, neurology, and infectious disease.
About the Role- Clinical responsibility: attending to high-risk deliveries and managing preterm and full-term newborns
- Precepting and supervising interns and residents: faculty participates in hospital and department subcommittees, including clinical, quality improvement, and resident education
- Responsible for supervising residents' clinical performance and leading bedside discussions and providing formal lectures
- Diagnosis and management of patients in Neonatal ICU in Harlem Hospital, a level 3 NICU
Calls are scheduled 80 hours per 2-week cycle (average 40 hours per week), including day and night and weekend call. We offer an excellent work-life balance with defined clinical work hours, administrative exposure, and opportunities to participate in quality improvement projects.
Qualifications- Board Certification or Board Eligibility in Neonatology
