About the Role:

The Assistant Director of Housekeeping at Mandarin Oriental, New York is a key member of our hotel's leadership team, responsible for ensuring the highest standards of cleanliness and guest satisfaction in our luxurious guestrooms and public areas. As a seasoned hospitality professional, you will assist the Director of Housekeeping in managing all aspects of the Housekeeping Department, including staff supervision, training, and evaluation. Your expertise will be essential in maintaining our hotel's reputation for exceptional service and cleanliness.

Key Responsibilities:

• Motivate and supervise a team of housekeeping and laundry colleagues to deliver exceptional guest experiences
• Conduct daily inspections of public areas, guestrooms, and back-of-house areas to ensure high standards are met
• Develop and implement procedural changes to improve efficiency and guest satisfaction
• Manage departmental budgets and labor costs to minimize expenses while ensuring adequate staffing
• Collaborate with other departments to ensure seamless guest experiences
• Respond to guest requests and concerns in a timely and professional manner

Requirements:

• Bachelor's degree in Hospitality Management or related field
• Minimum 5 years of housekeeping experience in a luxury hotel environment
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills
• Ability to work flexible schedules to meet business demands
• Local 6 experience required
