The Nurse Aide I/Clinical Secretary provides exceptional support to patients, families, and professional staff, ensuring efficient and customer-oriented service delivery. This role actively promotes WakeMed's Patient & Family Centered Care (PFCC) model, delivering patient care under the direction of the Registered Nurse.
Key Responsibilities- Support patients and families in a respectful and dignified manner, honoring their perspectives and choices.
- Communicate and share complete and unbiased information with patients and families in a clear and affirming way.
- Collaborate with patients, families, and healthcare teams to deliver high-quality care and support.
- Understand and support WakeMed's mission, vision, values, and aspirational goals.
The highly specialized Level IV Neonatal Intensive Care Nursery (NICU) at WakeMed offers 48 patient beds, including 26 single private rooms. This state-of-the-art facility provides care for premature and critically ill babies, admitting over 600 infants each year.
Requirements- 1 year of healthcare experience preferred.
- High School Diploma or Equivalent required; College courses in Nurse Aide required.
- Nurse Aide I certification required.
This role requires working Wednesday and Thursday nights, with weekend and call requirements as needed.
