At GPAC, we are seeking a highly skilled and experienced MOHS Surgeon to join our dynamic team of healthcare professionals. As a renowned dermatology clinic, we are dedicated to providing exceptional skin care through advanced treatments and compassionate patient care.
Position Overview: The MOHS Surgeon will be responsible for performing MOHS micrographic surgery to treat skin cancer, ensuring complete tumor removal while preserving healthy tissue. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in dermatologic surgery, excellent patient care skills, and a commitment to ongoing professional development.
Key Responsibilities:
- Perform MOHS micrographic surgery, including pre-operative consultations, surgery, and post-operative care.
- Conduct thorough patient assessments and develop individualized treatment plans.
- Collaborate with a multidisciplinary team, including dermatologists, pathologists, and other healthcare professionals, to ensure comprehensive patient care.
- Educate patients and their families about skin cancer prevention, treatment options, and post-operative care.
- Maintain accurate and detailed patient records in compliance with healthcare regulations.
- Stay current with advancements in dermatologic surgery and participate in continuing education opportunities.
Qualifications:
- Medical degree from an accredited medical school.
- Board certification in Dermatology.
- Fellowship training in MOHS surgery.
- Valid state medical license.
- Minimum of 2 years of experience performing MOHS surgery.
- Excellent surgical and diagnostic skills.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
- Compassionate and patient-centered approach to care.
- Ability to work both independently and as part of a collaborative team.
