Position Overview
As a Technology Auditor, you will conduct independent evaluations and assessments to support the organization in achieving its strategic goals. This role emphasizes a systematic and disciplined approach to enhance the effectiveness of governance, risk management, and internal controls within the New York Power Authority.
Key Responsibilities
Your primary duties will include:
- Executing audit processes that provide reasonable assurance regarding operational efficiency, reliability of financial reporting, and compliance with relevant laws and regulations.
- Performing audits of various business operations, financial and compliance processes, technology systems, infrastructure, and cybersecurity initiatives.
- Supporting audit reporting for external auditors and regulatory bodies.
- Conducting internal audits focused on IT operations, governance, cybersecurity, and information systems.
- Preparing and presenting audit findings and recommendations to management.
- Monitoring the resolution of identified control issues until they are fully addressed.
Qualifications
The ideal candidate will possess:
- A Bachelor's degree in a relevant field.
- A minimum of 2 years of experience in auditing or a related discipline.
- Knowledge of frameworks such as COBIT, NIST, ITIL, and COSO.
- Strong analytical skills to interpret large data sets and identify anomalies.
- Excellent verbal and written communication abilities.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications.
Travel Requirements
This position may require up to 20% travel within New York State.
