Netpace is seeking a skilled Histology Technologist I to join our team in a laboratory setting. As a Histology Technologist I, you will play a critical role in preparing and processing surgical specimens for patients.
Key Responsibilities:
- Specimen Preparation: Receive, prepare, and process surgical specimens for patients, ensuring accurate and timely results.
- Quality Control: Maintain high standards of quality control, adhering to established protocols and procedures.
- Communication: Effectively communicate with laboratory staff, physicians, and other healthcare professionals to ensure seamless specimen processing and results dissemination.
- Training and Development: Participate in ongoing training and professional development to stay current with industry advancements and best practices.
Requirements:
- Education and Certification: Successful completion of a formal histology technologist training program or currently working towards completion of training program.
- Skills and Abilities: Attention to detail, good physical dexterity, and good written and oral communication skills.
- Certification: Certification-eligible applicants must pass examination within eighteen (18) months after school graduation or after moving to the state of Georgia.
- Color-Acuity Screening: All applicants must submit to and pass a Color-Acuity screening Test.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Computer Experience: Computer keyboard and information system experience.
- Immunochemistry Experience: Immunochemistry experience and/or training.
- Advanced Education: B.S. degree in science, plus successful completion of a formal histology technologist training program.
