Key Responsibilities:
  • Supervise a substantial team in supply chain operations within a manufacturing setting.
  • Ensure optimal utilization of personnel, materials, and equipment.
  • Facilitate training, development, and performance evaluations of team members to foster high-performing teams.
  • Lead Global Manufacturing Systems (GMS) initiatives and provide support for launch and pilot activities.
  • Maintain effective communication with employees, union representatives, and management.
  • Administer collective bargaining agreements and uphold company policies consistently.
  • Exemplify the company's cultural values and maintain integrity at all times.
  • Achieve key performance indicators related to Safety, People, Quality, Responsiveness, and Cost.
  • Promote a culture of safety and enforce workplace safety regulations.
  • Handle administrative tasks, including timekeeping and departmental record maintenance.
  • Support production cost objectives by ensuring efficiency in operations.
  • Manage inventory controls and operational changes effectively.
  • Identify improvement opportunities through audits and resolve issues collaboratively.
  • Perform additional duties as required.

  • Strong supervisory skills in production and inventory management.
  • Proficient in continuous improvement methodologies and lean manufacturing principles.
  • Excellent problem-solving abilities.
Qualifications:
  • Exceptional interpersonal skills to engage effectively with all organizational levels.
  • Strong oral and written communication skills.
  • Analytical mindset with a focus on waste reduction.
  • Basic understanding of GMS and Lean Manufacturing.
  • Flexibility to work various shifts and weekends as needed.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite (PowerPoint, Excel, Word).
Preferred Qualifications:
  • Experience managing teams in a unionized environment.
  • Background in supervising supply chain operations in a manufacturing context.
  • Familiarity with supply chain systems and processes.
Educational Background:

Bachelor's Degree in Supply Chain Management or Engineering is preferred, or equivalent work experience.
