Position Overview

This role is situated within the Farm Service Agency, focusing on the administration of agricultural financing programs.

About the Role: You will support the Farm Loan Manager in overseeing farm loan initiatives within a designated service area.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Conduct interviews with potential loan applicants, evaluate loan submissions, and gather essential information to determine applicant eligibility.
  • Offer expert advice, guidance, and financial counseling to both loan applicants and existing borrowers.
  • Possess the authority to approve loans within a specified limit.
  • Provide recommendations regarding agency loan programs and the criteria for eligibility.
  • Utilize your expertise in agricultural financing, financial management principles, and knowledge of farming operations to assess loan applications.
  • Make informed decisions on loan approvals or denials, particularly for amounts exceeding delegated limits.
  • Assist in the management of farm loan programs across multiple counties.
Qualifications:

To be considered for this position, candidates must meet specific qualifications, including relevant educational background and/or experience in financial analysis or agricultural management.
