Behavior Therapist Job Summary

We are seeking a skilled and compassionate Behavior Therapist to join our team at Sevita. As a Behavior Therapist, you will work closely with our clinical team to provide high-quality care and support to individuals with Autism Spectrum Disorder and related disabilities.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop and implement individualized therapeutic plans to increase social and self-management skills
  • Provide guidance on developmental goals, including communication, exercise, nutrition, and academic skills to assist with school readiness
  • Support individuals with learning and maintaining personal skills, such as hygiene, grooming, and toileting
  • Teach and model interpersonal and social skills to help individuals thrive in their communities
  • Provide assistance using strategies to properly manage and redirect agitated or aggressive behaviors

Requirements:

  • Meet qualifications required by the EIDBI benefit; continued education in a related field (minimum of an AA degree obtained or enrolled in a Bachelor's program or higher) OR at least 2 years' of full-time, paid (not volunteer), clinically supervised experience supporting individuals with various disabilities
  • Be at least 18 years of age
  • Have a compassionate approach with a reliable and responsible attitude
  • Be able to connect with children and work with others to accomplish goals
  • Have experience in human services
  • Successfully clear background checks
