Platform Coordination Specialist

Position Overview

AVIAN is seeking a dedicated Platform Coordination Specialist to enhance the Test & Evaluation Management for Programs and Operations contract. The successful candidate will play a crucial role in providing configuration management, maintenance, and program analysis support to the 53K test team during the transition of four EDM aircraft from Sikorsky to government ownership and operation.

Key Responsibilities

  • Timely completion of Aircraft Modification Requests (AMR) using the Naval Aviation Project Activity Support System (NAVPASS) once all necessary data is available.
  • Maintain configuration control for all non-standard project installations and configuration alterations on assigned aircraft.
  • Adhere to AMR processes to meticulously track, collect, and document all configuration change data as a permanent aircraft record in accordance with applicable NAVAIR and NAVTESTWINGLANT guidelines.
  • Execute tasks with minimal supervision, demonstrating proficiency in engineering expertise.
  • Document all tools required for project work following local Standard Operating Procedures (SOP).
  • Utilize engineering experience to perform functions such as system integration, configuration management, quality assurance testing, and resource management.
  • Knowledge of the Navy's NALCOMIS process and configuration management principles.
  • Manage resource scheduling and tracking effectively.
  • Oversee both short and long-range planning for specific configuration changes.

Qualifications

  • A minimum of three (3) to ten (10) years of experience in an engineering role, with at least three (3) years directly related to Naval systems. A Bachelor's Degree may substitute for four years of experience, while a Master's Degree may substitute for an additional two years.
  • Demonstrated expertise in engineering disciplines.
  • Ability to obtain and maintain a Department of Defense security clearance.
  • U.S. Citizenship is required due to the sensitivity of customer-related requirements.
