Job Summary

This Radiology Technologist position involves performing radiographic examinations with minimal supervision under the direction of a Radiologist. The successful candidate will coordinate daily activities, including performing examinations and associated clerical duties.

Key Responsibilities

  • Conduct and assist with radiographic and fluoroscopic procedures.
  • Document patient history related to specific procedures on requisitions submitted by physicians.
  • Verify patient identification through verbal confirmation and validation of proof of identity.
  • Prepare and administer contrast media as required.
  • Consult with radiologists and other physicians as necessary.
  • Select and operate equipment according to individual procedure demands and demonstrate correct anatomic positioning skills.
  • Maintain records as per departmental standards.

Requirements

This role requires a successful completion of a formal Radiology Tech Program in an AMA-approved facility, ARRT registration, and Basic Life Support for Healthcare Provider (BLS HCP) from AHA. New graduates must be registry eligible with registry completion within 1 year of hire date.

Work Environment

This position involves strenuous physical effort while assisting patients from wheelchairs and stretchers. The role requires handling equipment and monitoring supplies, with good oral and written communication skills to interact with patients and hospital staff. The work environment may involve frequent stretching, bending, twisting, squatting, or kneeling in operating radiographic equipment.
