Network Consultant

This is a remote opportunity, but occasional on-site meetings may be required in Clemson, SC.

We are seeking a skilled Network Consultant to join our team at Focused HR Solutions. As a Network Consultant, you will be responsible for managing systems software, providing technical support, and collaborating with other units.

• Manage systems software and provide technical support for mission-critical systems.
• Collaborate with other units and serve as a technical resource and subject matter expert.
• Train and advise less skilled systems programmers and provide expert technical assistance.
• Contribute to Research and Development projects as required.

• Extensive knowledge of Windows Server 2016/2019, active directory, and related Microsoft technologies.
• MCITP, MCSE, MCSA, or similar Microsoft Certifications.
• Excellent Powershell Scripting and Automation skills.
• Three to five years of experience working in a mixed active directory and Linux environment within a VMware or other cloud-based enterprise environment.
• Effective communication skills, adaptability, self-motivation, problem-solving, analytical thinking, time management, and ability to work effectively in a fast-paced, stressful environment.

• Host-based firewalls.
• DNS knowledge.
• Powershell.
• Automation.
• VMware.
• VMware vSAN.
• Splunk/Elasticsearch or similar logging technologies.
• Software-defined networks.
• Veeam or other backup solutions.
• Understanding of MSSQL Always On, patch management, and security vulnerabilities.
