About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled CMM Metrology Technician to join our team at Apple. As a key member of our hardware engineering group, you will play a critical role in ensuring the accuracy and quality of our products.

Key Responsibilities
  • Develop and implement test and inspection plans for a wide range of parts and fabricated prototypes.
  • Work closely with our team of Model Makers and Product Design engineers to validate and measure prototype parts.
  • Research and select metrology tools and equipment to meet the diverse needs of our growing team.
  • Communicate results to customers and collect and present metrics to colleagues and management.
Requirements
  • Ability to apply and advise on Geometric Dimensioning and Tolerancing (GD&T) principles.
  • Experience programming and operating a variety of metrology equipment, including Optical comparators, Keyence, OMM, CMM, Laser Scanning, and CT Scans.
  • Ability to assess and improve issues related to prototype parts.
  • Able to identify critical to function components and confirm both cosmetic and technical features.
  • Able to qualify and troubleshoot inspection equipment, including bring-up activities.
  • Must be data-driven and detail-focused.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills, ability to interact with management, team members, and external vendors.
Preferred Qualifications
  • 3+ years of relevant experience.

Our base pay range for this role is between $49.25 and $85.52/hr, and your base pay will depend on your skills, qualifications, experience, and location.
