Aircraft Technician II

Job Summary:
Gulfstream Aerospace Corporation is seeking an experienced Aircraft Technician II to join our team. As a key member of our maintenance team, you will be responsible for performing complex aircraft inspections, repairs, and modifications with minimal supervision.
Key Responsibilities:
- Perform Complex Aircraft Inspections and Repairs: Conduct thorough inspections and repairs of aircraft systems and structures, ensuring compliance with internal and FAA regulations.
- Coordinate with Maintenance Teams: Collaborate with MTL, STM, and Inspection Department to ensure seamless workflow and accurate documentation.
- Ensure Quality Standards: Verify that all work meets quality standards and specifications, adhering to company policies and procedures.
- Identify and Store Customer Property: Properly identify and store customer property and equipment, maintaining a secure and safe environment.
- Operate Ground Support Equipment: Safely operate ground support equipment, adhering to standard operating procedures.
- Coordinate Aircraft Movement: Assist with aircraft movement in hangar and ramp areas, ensuring efficient workflow.
- Provide Training and Support: Train less experienced technicians and provide support as needed.
Additional Responsibilities:
- Implement Lean Initiatives: Apply Lean principles to maintain a clean and organized work environment, adhering to 6S and continuous improvement processes.
- Use Company-Provided Tools and Equipment: Properly use and maintain company-provided tools and equipment, returning items to designated storage areas after use.
- Comply with Safety Rules: Adhere to safety rules and procedures, using protective equipment as required and addressing unsafe conditions promptly.
- Use Material Tracking System: Utilize the material tracking system to create parts demand, track squawks, and sign-offs, and to charge labor to correct work orders.
- Support Aircraft Certification: Assist with aircraft certification and final phase testing, including flight tests as required.
Requirements:
Working knowledge of FAA regulations, process specifications, Repair Station and Quality Control manuals, and company policies and procedures. Must be able to read, write, speak, and understand the English language.
