NICU Advanced Practice Provider

We are seeking a highly skilled and compassionate NICU Advanced Practice Provider to join our team at Connecticut Children's. As a key member of our neonatal care team, you will provide high-quality patient care, education, and support to families in our Level III NICU.
Responsibilities- Assessment and Care Planning: Conduct thorough evaluations of newborns, identify level of illness severity, and develop thoughtful care plans in collaboration with supervising physicians.
- Medical Knowledge and Procedures: Apply basic medical knowledge to common diagnoses, perform procedures under guidance, and seek assistance when needed.
- Patient Education and Support: Provide education and support to families, promoting a patient-centered approach to care.
- Interdisciplinary Collaboration: Participate in inter-professional teams, communicating effectively with staff, patients, and families.
- Quality Improvement and Professional Development: Engage in quality improvement initiatives, participate in feedback sessions, and develop professional goals and learning plans.
- Education and Experience: Graduate degree in nursing or physician assistant program accredited by a national certifying body.
- Licensure and Certification: Current licensure as a Neonatal Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant in Connecticut or New York, and Neonatal Resuscitation Provider certification.
- Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities: Medical knowledge, communication, interpersonal, and professionalism skills.
