Extrusion Technician

We are seeking a highly skilled and detail-oriented Extrusion Tech to join our team at Apogee Enterprises. As a key member of our production team, you will be responsible for operating various machines and equipment to cut and transport materials, while maintaining a safe and efficient work environment.

• Operate cutting and loading equipment to prepare materials for production
• Stack and sort materials to ensure efficient use of space and resources
• Comply with safety, quality, and productivity requirements and procedures
• Work effectively in a team environment with minimal supervision
• Participate in continuous improvement efforts to optimize processes and improve performance

• High school diploma or equivalent preferred
• 0-1 years of related experience and/or training
• Ability to work with minimal supervision and adapt to changing priorities
• Accuracy and attention to detail, with ability to troubleshoot and problem-solve
• Physical ability to stand, reach, bend, and move materials up to 70 pounds

The associate will be regularly exposed to moving mechanical parts, fumes, and airborne particles. The noise level in the work environment is usually loud, requiring hearing protection. Must be willing and able to comply with all plant safety regulations.
