Clinical Dietitian

The Clinical Dietician is a key member of our healthcare team, responsible for implementing and managing the patient nutritional program within the hospital. This role requires a strong understanding of nutrition and its impact on patient health, as well as excellent communication and collaboration skills.

• Provide evidence-based nutrition counseling to patients on modified diets.
• Conduct nutritional screenings and assessments of patients.
• Collaborate with physicians to coordinate and implement nutritional recommendations.
• Identify and communicate potential nutritional implications of medications and document this information in patients' records.
• Notify the FNS Dietary Aides which patient foods are allowed and disallowed based on the prescribed diet.

• Bachelor's degree in dietetics, food and nutrition, food service systems management, or a related area that meets the requirements of the American Dietetic Association.
• Registered through the Commission on Dietetic Registration.
• Current Missouri state licensure.
• Minimum of 1 year of dietitian experience.
