Job Description:
Blue Ridge Community College, a leading institution in the central Shenandoah Valley of Virginia, is seeking qualified individuals to fill tutor positions on a continuous basis. As a tutor, you will provide exceptional one-to-one, small group, and/or classroom tutoring services to students. Your role will involve integrating effective study and learning strategies with subject-area instruction to maximize student potential for academic progress.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Provide tutoring services of exceptional quality on a walk-in or scheduled basis.
  • Integrate effective study and learning strategies with subject-area instruction.
  • Maintain accurate records of individual and group tutoring sessions.
  • Exhibit a positive attitude toward student efforts and provide consistent feedback.
  • Protect student confidentiality at all times.
Minimum Qualifications:
Final grade of "A" from an accredited college or university in the class to be tutored.Preferred Qualifications:
Experience with Zoom or other video conferencing platforms.
