Job Summary
The Custodian performs essential tasks to maintain the facility, ensuring a clean and safe environment for employees and visitors.
Key Responsibilities
• Sweep and wet mop floors, occasionally stripping and waxing floors using a Chariot Floor Scrubber.
• Clean and sanitize restrooms, including sinks, toilets, and showers.
• Empty trash and recyclables, and maintain a clean and organized waste management system.
• Dust and clean surfaces, including furniture and equipment.
• Clean windows and mirrors, and sweep carpets to maintain a clean and tidy environment.
• Clean and pick up outside trash, and maintain a clean and organized outdoor area.
• Operate various types of machines and tools, including Zamboni, extractors, compass, vacuums, and power washer, while following safety protocols.
• Maintain company-issued closet keys and ensure proper care of equipment and tools.
• Use a variety of cleaners, including 70/30 alcohol, and follow safety guidelines when handling chemicals.
• Complete quality work at accepted department-determined rates, and adhere to Cook Quality Policy Manual.
• Maintain all training requirements for the position, and seek opportunities for continuous development and growth.
• Adhere to the Quality Management System and its processes to meet FDA 21 CFR 820, ISO 13485, and other applicable regulatory requirements.
Requirements
• High school diploma or GED, preferred but not required.
• Minimum 18 years of age.
• Moderate exposure to noise level in the work environment that is moderate to occasionally loud.
• Occasionally lifts and/or moves up to 50 pounds.
• Frequently required to stand, walk, use hands to grasp, carry, feel or touch; reach with hands and arms; stoop, kneel, crouch; climb, crawl, and communicate.
• Proper attire/clothing and personal protective equipment/clothing as required within Controlled Production Areas.
• Must be able to perform the essential functions of the job, subject to reasonable accommodation requirements under the ADA.
