Key Responsibilities:

  • Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to develop comprehensive treatment plans for cancer patients.
  • Conduct thorough patient assessments, review medical histories, and conduct physical examinations to determine the most appropriate radiation therapy approach.
  • Utilize advanced imaging technologies to precisely target tumors and develop accurate treatment plans.
  • Safely administer radiation therapy in accordance with established protocols, ensuring optimal therapeutic outcomes while minimizing potential side effects.
  • Regularly monitor patients' progress throughout the course of treatment, making necessary adjustments to treatment plans based on response and any emerging medical developments.
  • Educate patients and their families about the treatment process, potential side effects, and supportive care measures, promoting open communication and informed decision-making.
  • Stay abreast of the latest advancements in radiation oncology, attending conferences, workshops, and engaging in continuous medical education to enhance your knowledge and skills.
  • Contribute to research and clinical trials, either by participating directly or by incorporating cutting-edge evidence-based practices into patient care.
  • Maintain accurate and thorough patient records, treatment plans, and documentation in compliance with regulatory standards and institutional policies.

Qualifications:

  • Medical degree (MD or DO) from an accredited medical school.
  • Completion of a residency program in Radiation Oncology from an accredited institution.
  • Board certification or eligibility for board certification in Radiation Oncology.
  • Valid medical license to practice in the jurisdiction where the position is located.
