Nurse Practitioner

As a Registered Nurse in our Medical Surgical department, you'll play a vital role in providing high-quality patient care. Our team of approximately 70 RN staff is diverse and experienced, with a strong focus on flexibility and versatility.
As a Float Pool nurse, you'll care for medical and surgical adult and pediatric populations, as well as patients in the IMCU and Observation units. You'll work collaboratively with our interdisciplinary team to deliver patient-centered care, using our patient-centered care model to ensure the best possible outcomes.
Responsibilities include:
- Assessing, diagnosing, planning, intervening, evaluating, and educating patients
- Communicating with healthcare team members, patients, and their families
- Coordinating and delegating patient care activities to inter-professional colleagues
- Entering and interpreting computerized data/information
- Following guidelines and policies established by BMC's nursing organization
- Assisting the leadership team with quality improvement projects
Requirements include:
- Licensure to practice professional nursing in the Commonwealth of Massachusetts
- Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) certification in certain units
- Nursing degree
- Basic computer proficiency
- Fluency in another language a plus
