Speech-Language Pathologist Job Description

We are seeking a skilled Speech-Language Pathologist to join our team at Soliant in Pomfret, CT. The successful candidate will be responsible for assessing, diagnosing, and treating speech, language, and communication disorders in students, helping them achieve academic and social success.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Assessment and Diagnosis: Conduct comprehensive assessments to identify speech, language, voice, and fluency disorders in students.
  • Treatment Planning: Develop and implement individualized treatment plans based on the unique needs of each student.
  • Therapy Sessions: Provide individual and group therapy sessions aimed at improving students' communication skills.
  • Collaboration: Collaborate with teachers, parents, and other school staff to integrate speech and language goals into the classroom and at home.
  • Progress Monitoring: Monitor and document student progress, adjusting treatment plans as necessary to ensure effective outcomes.
  • Record Keeping: Maintain accurate and up-to-date records of evaluations, therapy sessions, and progress reports.
  • Training and Resources: Provide training and resources to teachers and parents on strategies to support students' speech and language development.
Qualifications:
  • Education: Masters degree in Speech-Language Pathology from an accredited program.
  • Licensure: Valid SLP license or certification in Connecticut.
  • Experience: Experience working in a school setting is an advantage.
  • Skills: Strong communication, organizational, and interpersonal skills.
