At Lammersville Unified School District, we are seeking a highly skilled and detail-oriented Facilities Maintenance Specialist to join our team. As a key member of our facilities team, you will be responsible for performing facility set-ups, maintenance, and custodial work in the cleaning and maintenance of assigned buildings, equipment, facilities, and grounds.
Key Responsibilities- Facility Set-ups and Maintenance: Perform routine maintenance tasks, including cleaning, painting, and repairing facilities and equipment.
- Custodial Work: Clean and maintain assigned buildings, including sweeping, mopping, and disinfecting surfaces.
- Grounds Maintenance: Maintain the appearance of school grounds, including mowing, pruning, and trimming vegetation.
- Reporting and Communication: Report any safety, sanitation, or fire hazards to school administrators and take corrective action as needed.
- Customer Service: Develop and maintain positive relationships with students, staff, and district officials.
- Education: High school diploma or equivalent required.
- Experience: Minimum one year of experience in a custodial or maintenance field.
- Skills: Ability to lift up to 50 pounds, stand for long periods, and work in a fast-paced environment.
Employees in this position must be able to work in a variety of environments, including indoor and outdoor settings, and be exposed to noise, dust, and fumes. Must wear closed-toe shoes and meet uniform requirements.
