The Department of Biology at Jacksonville State University invites applications for adjunct faculty positions. Our undergraduate program offers concentrations in General Biology, Cell and Molecular Biology, Ecology and Environmental Biology, Marine Biology, Organismal Biology, and Pre-Health Professions.
About the PositionWe are seeking qualified instructors to teach in-person introductory courses for biology majors and the general education curriculum. The ideal candidate will have a Master's degree in any area of biology and experience working with culturally diverse populations.
Responsibilities- Teach introductory courses in biology to undergraduate students
- Develop and implement engaging lesson plans and assessments
- Provide academic support and guidance to students
- Participate in departmental meetings and contribute to curriculum development
- Master's degree in any area of biology
- College or university teaching experience
- Experience working with culturally diverse populations
- Candidates who hold current relevant professional credentials
