About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled Senior Mechanical Engineer to join our team at SQ4D. As a key member of our design and development team, you will play a critical role in shaping the future of the construction industry by helping us design and build a next-generation concrete 3D printer.

Key Responsibilities
  • Design and develop mechanical and electrical systems for our 3D printer
  • Oversee design progress and ensure projects are completed on time and within budget
  • Mentor junior engineers and delegate tasks as needed
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including architects, software engineers, and manufacturers
Requirements
  • Strong design skills, including concept generation and progression
  • Experience with 3D CAD and creating well-specified drawings
  • Ability to work effectively in a team environment
  • Knowledge of electro-mechanical systems and manufacturing processes
  • Experience with engineering analysis and setting timelines and budgets
  • Management or leadership experience
Preferred Qualifications
  • Experience with 3D printing and robotics
  • Familiarity with construction processes and CNC experience
  • Electronics experience and knowledge of electro-mechanical systems
