As a Property Care Specialist at Public Storage, you will take pride in ensuring that our facilities and grounds are impeccably maintained. This role goes beyond that of a typical custodian; your efforts will contribute significantly to the appearance and safety of our properties, fostering a welcoming environment for our customers.

  • Independently uphold cleanliness and brand standards across multiple locations
  • Perform general maintenance tasks including mopping, sweeping, changing light bulbs, minor plumbing repairs, light painting, and landscaping
  • Conduct daily inspections of storage units; verify inventory availability and ensure readiness for rental
  • Clean vacated units and kiosks
  • Dispose of debris and abandoned items as instructed
  • Maintain restrooms and carry out other janitorial responsibilities
  • Assist in moving merchandise, office furniture, equipment, and other materials as required
  • Report maintenance issues, safety hazards, and equipment malfunctions to the Property Manager or District Manager
  • Capable of driving and working at various properties throughout the day as necessary
  • Adhere to your scheduled shifts, which include availability for calls, meetings, and training sessions
  • Exhibit personal integrity and comply with all safety policies and procedures
  • Perform additional duties as assigned

Physical Requirements:

  • Ability to lift and move items weighing up to 35 pounds
  • Property Care Specialists should be prepared to walk around facilities, spending up to 50% of their time outdoors, including climbing stairs and opening large doors
  • Engage in cleaning and maintenance tasks, including sweeping/mopping indoor areas and keeping exterior grounds tidy and free of debris
