Position Overview:
The Assistant Culinary Manager plays a crucial role in overseeing all facets of the culinary operations within the Club, with a particular emphasis on private functions, catering, and special events. Key responsibilities include leading and managing kitchen personnel, enhancing product offerings and menu selections, and ensuring the profitability of food services.
Compensation:
This role offers an hourly wage ranging from $22.00 to $25.00.

Key Responsibilities:
- Provide leadership and direction for daily event operations.
- Assist in the recruitment, training, and development of culinary staff.
- Plan and oversee the procurement, preparation, and presentation of food.
- Ensure compliance with safety and sanitation standards in all back-of-house operations.
- Maintain knowledge of and adhere to departmental policies and brand standards.
- Collaborate with front-of-house teams to ensure seamless event execution.
- Organize and assist in the service of various dining activities, including a la carte, employee meals, and private dining.
- Manage ordering, receiving, and proper rotation of food and kitchen supplies.
- Uphold cleanliness and sanitation standards in the kitchen and individual work areas.
- Ensure consistent preparation and presentation of food items in line with quality standards.
- Complete necessary administrative tasks including operations reports and inventory documentation.
- Assist in menu design and oversee food presentation for all events.
- Control labor and operating costs through effective planning and management.
- Mentor and coach team members in culinary techniques and new item preparation.
- Participate in management meetings and support team members as needed.
Qualifications:
- 2-3 years of experience as a line cook.
- Culinary training is preferred.
- Health & Sanitation certification.
- Strong communication skills and ability to follow instructions.
- Ability to thrive in a fast-paced indoor environment.
Physical Requirements:
- Ability to stand, walk, and perform various physical tasks including lifting up to 100 lbs.
- Exposure to varying temperatures and working conditions.
