Position Overview

We are seeking a skilled Cath Lab Technologist to join our dynamic team at Central Maine Medical Center. This role involves working in a fast-paced environment, providing exceptional care to patients undergoing cardiac procedures.

Certification Requirements
  • BLS - Basic Life Support
  • ACLS - Advanced Cardiac Life Support
  • ARRT certification
  • Additional certifications such as Endovascular experience and Ablation skills are preferred
Job Details
  • Experience Required: Minimum of 1 year in a Cath Lab setting
  • Traveler Experience: First-time travelers are welcome
  • Local Candidates: Not accepted within a 50-mile radius
  • Essential Skills: Proficiency in Cath lab procedures, Outpatient and Inpatient care, EKGs, C-Arm operation, Contrast administration, Stent placements, Angioplasty, and familiarity with CERNER and GE x-ray systems
  • Daily Caseload: Approximately 10 cases per day
  • Shift Schedule: 4x9.5 Days from 07:00 to 16:30
  • On-Call Requirement: Weeknights and weekends, with 15-18 days in a six-week rotation
  • Float Requirement: None
  • Department Details: Most time will be spent in the Cath Lab, with potential coverage in the EP lab for pacemaker implants, ICDs, or ablation cases
  • Unit Systems: Medication management, Documentation, and Communication systems
  • Orientation: 3-5 days of unit orientation provided
  • Scrubs: 3 sets provided
Job Requirements
  • Experience: Minimum of 1 year in Cath Lab
  • Certifications: BLS, ACLS, ARRT required
  • Preferred Skills: Endovascular experience, IV starts, Ablations, Angiograms, Peripheral vascular studies, Hemodynamic monitoring, and Merge system familiarity
Schedule Information
  • Shift: 4x9.5 Days from 07:00 to 16:30
  • On-Call Requirement: Weeknights and weekends, with 15-18 days in a six-week schedule
