We are seeking a skilled Registered Vascular Technologist to join our team at Texas Health Physicians Group. As a key member of our vascular laboratory, you will be responsible for delivering high-quality patient care through the performance of diagnostic vascular studies.
Key Responsibilities- Conduct vascular laboratory studies in accordance with established protocols and guidelines.
- Explain procedures to patients to obtain cooperation and reduce anxiety.
- Communicate with physicians, managers, and coworkers regarding patient clinical conditions and study results.
- Maintain quality assurance databases and review test results with interpreting physicians.
- Ensure timely scheduling of vascular laboratory studies to meet clinical needs.
- Prepare and maintain operations logs, calibrate equipment, and order supplies as needed.
- Associates degree in a related field (preferred).
- Graduate of an accredited ultrasound technology program (preferred).
- 1 year of experience in a vascular laboratory (required).
- RVT - Registered Vascular Technologist or RVS - Registered Vascular Sonographer certification (required).
- Minimum 2 years of experience with ABI's, cerebral, abdominal, upper/lower peripheral venous and arterial imaging (strongly preferred).
- Experience with US-guided RFA's (preferred).
- BLS certification (strongly preferred).
- Reliable transportation required.
