Job Summary

We are seeking a skilled Registered Vascular Technologist to join our team at Texas Health Physicians Group. As a key member of our vascular laboratory, you will be responsible for delivering high-quality patient care through the performance of diagnostic vascular studies.

Key Responsibilities
  • Conduct vascular laboratory studies in accordance with established protocols and guidelines.
  • Explain procedures to patients to obtain cooperation and reduce anxiety.
  • Communicate with physicians, managers, and coworkers regarding patient clinical conditions and study results.
  • Maintain quality assurance databases and review test results with interpreting physicians.
  • Ensure timely scheduling of vascular laboratory studies to meet clinical needs.
  • Prepare and maintain operations logs, calibrate equipment, and order supplies as needed.
Requirements
  • Associates degree in a related field (preferred).
  • Graduate of an accredited ultrasound technology program (preferred).
  • 1 year of experience in a vascular laboratory (required).
  • RVT - Registered Vascular Technologist or RVS - Registered Vascular Sonographer certification (required).
  • Minimum 2 years of experience with ABI's, cerebral, abdominal, upper/lower peripheral venous and arterial imaging (strongly preferred).
  • Experience with US-guided RFA's (preferred).
  • BLS certification (strongly preferred).
  • Reliable transportation required.
