Job SummaryThis is a 13 week assignment for a full-time Emergency Department Nurse. The successful candidate will be responsible for providing high-quality patient care, working collaboratively with a multidisciplinary team, and contributing to a positive and supportive work environment.
About the RoleThe ideal candidate will possess a strong background in emergency nursing, with experience in a fast-paced ED setting. A passion for delivering exceptional patient care, excellent communication skills, and a commitment to ongoing professional development are essential qualities for this role.
Key Responsibilities- Provide direct patient care to patients presenting to the Emergency Department
- Collaborate with the healthcare team to develop and implement individualized patient plans
- Conduct thorough assessments, obtain vital signs, and document patient information accurately and efficiently
- Administer medications, treatments, and other interventions as prescribed by physicians
- Maintain a safe and clean environment, adhering to infection control policies and procedures
- BCLS and PALS certifications
- Basic life support training and advanced cardiac life support certification an asset
- Strong critical thinking and problem-solving skills, with ability to prioritize tasks effectively
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment
