We are seeking a highly skilled and dedicated Speech-Language Pathologist to join our team at Soliant. As a Speech-Language Pathologist, you will be responsible for providing speech and language services to students, contributing to their academic and social development.

Key Responsibilities
  • Assessment and Diagnosis
    • Conduct comprehensive assessments to diagnose speech, language, and communication disorders in students.
  • Individualized Education Plans (IEPs)
    • Develop and implement individualized education plans (IEPs) for students with speech and language needs, in collaboration with teachers, parents, and other professionals.
  • Speech and Language Therapy
    • Provide direct speech and language therapy to students in individual and group settings, using evidence-based practices and techniques.
  • Collaboration and Communication
    • Collaborate with teachers, parents, and other professionals to support student progress and provide training and support on speech and language development.
  • Record Keeping and Reporting
    • Maintain accurate and detailed records of assessments, treatment plans, and progress, and provide regular progress reports to parents and educators.
Requirements
  • Education and Certification
    • Master's degree in Speech-Language Pathology from an accredited institution.
    • New York state license to practice Speech-Language Pathology.
    • Certificate of Clinical Competence (CCC-SLP) from the American Speech-Language-Hearing Association (ASHA).
    • Certification from the New York State Education Department for Speech-Language Pathologists.
  • Knowledge and Skills
    • Knowledge of IDEA and state and federal regulations governing special education.
    • Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
    • Ability to work effectively within a multidisciplinary team.
