Position Overview:
As a vital member of the Hannaford Supermarkets team, the Analyst II for Category Management plays a crucial role in supporting the Category Manager to achieve departmental objectives and strategic initiatives through effective vendor relationship management, comprehensive data analysis, and insightful reporting.
Key Responsibilities:
1. Collaborate with Category Merchandising & Pricing teams to drive the success of departmental strategies.
2. Conduct thorough analysis for evaluated categories to support Brand strategies.
3. Assist in optimizing shelf presentation, assortment decisions, cost negotiations, promotional planning, and product development.
4. Ensure promotional plans are strategically developed to enhance margins while adhering to category standards.
5. Validate vendor submitted deals for accuracy and compliance.
6. Track and report on deals and budget data effectively.
7. Support the Category Manager in executing all necessary tasks for a smooth Category Review process.
Qualifications:
- Minimum of 5 years of relevant professional experience.
- Bachelor's Degree required.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite.
Skills and Competencies:
- Strong analytical skills with the ability to derive insights from data.
- Excellent interpersonal skills to foster cross-functional relationships.
- Outstanding communication abilities.
- Capability to work independently as well as collaboratively within a team.
- Effective management of daily responsibilities related to assigned tasks.
Compensation:
The salary range for this position is $63,000 to $95,100.00.
