We are seeking a licensed therapist to facilitate weekly support groups for parents and caregivers. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in mental health and family therapy, and be passionate about supporting the empowerment journey of diverse parents and caregivers.

Key Responsibilities
  • Facilitate weekly support groups for parents and caregivers, ensuring a safe and supportive environment for participants to share their underlying feelings.
  • Conduct Building Family Strength Interviews of interested parents and caregivers.
  • Engage in all four Evidence-Based therapeutic processes of Parents Anonymous.
  • Assist participants in developing coping strategies and improving family dynamics.
  • Maintain accurate documentation of Building Family Strength Interviews and group sessions.
  • Refer all participants to utilize the California Parent and Youth HelplineTM 24/7.
  • Collaborate with other professionals to connect participants with additional resources as needed.
Qualifications
  • Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW), Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist (LMFT), or Licensed Professional Clinical Counselor (LPCC) in the state of California.
  • Experience working with diverse parents, children, and youth.
  • Commitment to the vision, mission, and goals of Parents Anonymous.
  • Strong group facilitation skills.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Availability to be supervised during the week.
  • Prior experience facilitating support groups.
  • Knowledge of trauma-informed care and family systems therapy.
Work Environment

This is a part-time position, working 2 evenings per week, approximately 5pm – 9pm. The ideal candidate will be able to commute to Pomona, CA.
