Position Overview

We are seeking a Certified Surgical Technologist for a travel role at Northwest Medical Center. This position requires a dedicated professional with a strong background in orthopedic and total joint procedures.

Certification Requirements
  • Must be certified after completing a CAAHEP-accredited surgical technology program or a similar accredited program.
  • Successful completion of the National Certified Surgical Technologist (CST) examination is mandatory.
Job Details
  • Employment Type: Travel
  • Schedule: Monday through Thursday, 4-10 hour shifts from 6 AM to 4 PM.
  • No on-call duties or weekend shifts required.
  • Floating to the Main OR is expected.
  • At least 3 years of experience in surgical technology is preferred.
Responsibilities

The Surgical Technologist will:

  • Prepare the operating room, ensuring a sterile environment and setting up necessary surgical instruments and supplies.
  • Assist during surgical procedures by passing instruments, fluids, and supplies to the surgeon.
  • Manage the sterile field and handle specimens with care.
  • Conduct counts of sponges and supplies to avoid any retained foreign objects.
