Job Overview

The Critical Care Specialist at Compunnel plays a pivotal role in delivering exceptional patient care, closely monitoring patients with complex medical needs, and serving as an advocate for patients and their families.

This position involves assessing, planning, and evaluating care for a diverse patient population while adhering to state nursing regulations and standards. As part of a dedicated healthcare team, the Critical Care Nurse contributes to a culture of safety, shared governance, and nursing autonomy.

Key Responsibilities
  • Provide high-quality patient-centered care, focusing on delivering compassionate and personalized services.
  • Conduct thorough assessments, develop effective care plans, and evaluate patient outcomes to ensure optimal care delivery.
  • Respond effectively to a range of health issues, from minor to critical conditions, utilizing advanced cardiac life support skills and certifications.
  • Monitor patients' cardiac activity, providing expert care for individuals with heart failure, diabetes, gastrointestinal diseases, and other acute diagnoses.
  • Maintain adherence to nursing regulations and Board of Registration in Nursing standards, ensuring the highest level of professional excellence.
  • Collaborate with interdisciplinary healthcare teams to maintain patient-centered excellence, promoting seamless communication and coordinated care.
  • Advocate for patients, families, and significant others throughout the care continuum, addressing their concerns and needs promptly and empathetically.
Required Qualifications
  • Possess an Associate Degree in Nursing (ADN) or a Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN); BSN preferred for enhanced patient care skills and professional development.
  • Demonstrate successful completion of the Board of Registration in Nursing Examination and hold an active nursing license in the state.
  • Hold current American Heart Association Health Care Provider CPR certification, as well as Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) and Basic Life Support (BLS) certifications.
  • Show a minimum of 1 year of Registered Nurse (RN) experience, demonstrating expertise and confidence in critical care settings.
Preferred Qualifications
  • Possess a Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN), which is preferred for enhanced patient care skills and professional development.
Certifications
  • American Heart Association Health Care Provider CPR certification.
  • Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) certification.
  • Basic Life Support (BLS) certification.
Estimated Salary Range: $65,000 - $85,000 per annum.
