Position Overview

Role Summary:

The Senior Systems Integration Specialist plays a pivotal role in supporting the Government by directing and ensuring the coherence of the Future State Enterprise Architecture. This position, centered on Business Architecture, is essential for aligning strategic goals with technological solutions, facilitating agency business transformation, and enabling new technology initiatives. The specialist will guide and manage the planning, execution, documentation, and governance of the Future State EA.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Lead and execute systems integration efforts across the NSG, ASG, and Federal Agencies to guarantee timely and precise GEOINT.
  • Oversee a comprehensive systems perspective, including a thorough understanding of the interconnections, dependencies, and requirements of cloud services, infrastructure, and security domains.
  • Deliver agile, standardized, and repeatable enterprise architecture processes that produce actionable and authoritative artifacts for cross-agency planning and decision-making.
  • Analyze and contextualize strategic priorities to meet operational needs. Support mission and IT execution by aligning strategic objectives with tactical implementation across budgetary programs and projects.
  • Drive the development of the Future State Enterprise Architecture or re-engineer components of existing architectures.
  • Facilitate strategic IT planning for future initiatives that enhance agency efficiency. Create artifacts such as time-based enterprise architecture roadmaps and value streams, documenting both current and future states at a high level, along with transition plans for effective agency transformation.
  • Conduct cross-agency analysis to identify overlapping capabilities, associated investments, gaps, and transformation opportunities. Align strategy with projects and budgets, identifying discrepancies between investment and execution, as well as dependencies and risks among programs and projects.
  • Establish key performance indicators and best practices for organizational deliverables.
  • Assist in managing the enterprise architecture practice and its governance.
Qualifications

Required Skills and Experience:

  • Master's degree in Engineering, Computer Science, Information Technology, Management Information Systems, or a related STEM field.
  • A minimum of 18 years of relevant experience, which may be considered in lieu of a degree.
  • Proven experience in integrating solutions utilizing Cloud-Based Technologies such as Service-Oriented Architecture (SOA), on-demand self-service, broad network access, resource pooling, rapid elasticity, measured service, Software as a Service (SaaS), Platform as a Service (PaaS), and Infrastructure as a Service (IaaS).
  • Demonstrated hands-on experience in architecting and developing large-scale, service-oriented software products.
  • Possession of TS/SCI clearance or the ability to obtain SCI clearance and pass a polygraph examination.
Desired Skills:

  • Familiarity with Model-Based Systems Engineering, including processes, tools, and languages.
  • Experience in integrating solutions that utilize both structured and unstructured Big Data.
  • Experience in integrating solutions using Automation, Augmentation, and Artificial Intelligence technologies.
  • Strategic mindset with the ability to connect organizational strategy with execution.
  • Knowledge of business capability models, value streams, and components of enterprise architecture.
  • Strong leadership capabilities and experience in business transformation initiatives.
  • Expertise in developing and maintaining business architecture frameworks.
