Job Overview

Position Summary

We are seeking a skilled individual to join our team as a CNC Machining Specialist. This role involves operating a range of precision machine tools and equipment to produce high-quality components.

Key Responsibilities

Primary Duties Include:
  • Setting up and managing various conventional and CNC precision machinery, including lathes, milling machines, grinders, and coordinate measuring machines.
  • Executing machine-control adjustments and basic NC modifications to ensure products meet stringent tolerance specifications.
  • Conducting necessary mathematical calculations to support machining processes.
  • Utilizing precision inspection tools and interpreting mechanical blueprints, sketches, and engineering specifications.
  • Providing training and guidance to team members.
  • Engaging in related tasks that promote environmental safety, maintenance, quality assurance, and production efficiency.
  • Maintaining comprehensive documentation of job tasks, reports, and records.
  • This position offers a competitive starting wage with an additional shift differential for 2nd shift work.
Minimum Qualifications
  • Associate's degree in a technical field from an accredited institution with at least 1 year of experience in advanced machining operations; or
  • Technical Certificate from an accredited program with a minimum of 18 months of relevant experience; or
  • High school diploma/GED with a minimum of 2 years of experience in advanced machining operations.

Preferred Qualifications
  • Proven expertise in setting up and operating both conventional and CNC precision manufacturing equipment.
  • Experience with NC machine offsets and basic program modifications.
  • Strong ability to read and interpret mechanical blueprints and engineering specifications.
  • Competence in performing mathematical calculations, including decimals, ratios, and percentages.
  • Familiarity with precision measuring tools such as micrometers and calipers.
  • Effective oral and written communication skills.
  • Knowledge of Lean Six Sigma principles.
  • Ability to build and maintain positive working relationships through understanding and collaboration.
  • Capability to follow safety practices, work procedures, and meet attendance standards.
