We are seeking a talented Site Development Engineer to join our Walnut Creek office. This is an exceptional opportunity for an experienced professional to leverage their expertise and skills to deliver outstanding results in site development and design.

As a Site Development Engineer at BKF Engineers, you will play a key role in preparing project designs, collaborating with the team, and providing assistance to Project Engineers and Project Managers. Our ideal candidate will have experience with AutoCAD Civil 3D, a strong understanding of standard engineering techniques, and excellent communication skills.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Project Design for Site Development: Develop comprehensive project designs that meet client requirements and regulatory standards.
  • Grading and Drainage Plans: Create accurate grading and drainage plans to ensure efficient water management and minimize environmental impact.
  • Utility Systems for Water and Sewer: Design and implement utility systems for water and sewer services, ensuring compliance with relevant regulations.
  • Report Preparation and Master Planning Studies: Prepare detailed reports and conduct master planning studies to inform decision-making and optimize project outcomes.
  • Preparation of specifications and cost estimates: Develop precise specifications and cost estimates for projects, ensuring timely completion and budget adherence.

Requirements:

  • 0 - 3 years of experience in site development and design of residential and/or commercial subdivisions, utility systems, roadways, and public works.
  • B.S in Civil Engineering or related field from an ABET Accredited Curriculum or equivalent required
  • EIT/ FE certification preferred
  • Experience with AutoCAD Civil 3D is a plus
  • Strong communication skills
